I've read many threads about this issue, but mine seems to be a little different. I'm trying to delete a folder that the system doesn't think is there. I can see it if I search for it:
I actrually ran into this once. A reboot fixed it for me. The folder was apparently gone the entire time but for some reason Explorer didn't seem to be clued in. After reboot, it was simply gone in explorer.

There is no actual data in a virtual folder, merely pointers to where data is located ( i.e. xml files with location data). Some are simply not deletable, and others may be, but it is best not to do so unless you know exactly what you are doing.
