"You cannot save to this location..."

Recently, Windows will not allow me to save files (from applications or from internet download) to the location of my choice. It insists that I save to the root of my fovorites folder.
I did have to do a re-install of windows a while back.. might that be the source of my problems (ie., old permissions - share settings? )
any assistance would be greatly appreciated...

Check out the response from DotCav in the thread below. It worked for me.

"You don't have permission to save in this location"
