A 91-year-old World War 2 Spitfire pilot who flew daily missions against the Luftwaffe during the Battle of Britain was prevented from getting into the cockpit of his wartime aircraft at a museum in Stoke-on-Trent by Heath & Safety jobsworths on the grounds he might hurt himself!!
What is it with these people? Whatever did they think he was doing every day in September, 1940?
I'm in despair at people who twist the law to suit their own agenda and at a system that treats young mums who want to volunteer at their local school as potential child molesters, but refuses to tell parents that a real paedophile has moved into a half-way house next to the local infants school.
You couldn't make it up!
