Solved 'Your Account PAYPAL Has Been Limited‏': Phishing?

Hey there guys, I was looking in my email for any new mail today and I got some weird email in the 'Junk' section entitled
'Your Account PAYPAL Has Been Limited‏'

Could this be a phishing email?
Here's a screen of it!

This seems a bit 'phishy' to me
I also noticed they misspelled 'account informations'

Yes, it's a phishing scam. Don't click on any of the links in that email. Googling that email address reveals a lot of bad reports on it.

Yeah, I looked it up and it doesn't sound too good... :/ May as well just delete it then!

I laughed when they said 'Please take a moment to update you account informations questions'. Bah! You can always tell when they're fake, can't you?

I've been getting a lot of those lately myself, and I haven't used Paypal for years.

LOL, yeah they really do stand out as phishing scams when you start to read what they want. No legit company is going to ask you for information like that.

@Brink I sent Paypal a message about it and they thanked me for notifying them. Ah, how desperate can people be to get your credit card info? They're getting even more desperate by the year!

The defining clue that it's bogus is that it's addressed to "Dear Customer". In any legitimate communication from an organization that you have an account with, they would know your name and address you that way.

if ANYBODY whatsoever asks you for "Account Information" online --just drop it quickly.

A BANK certainly will never do this.

The only time you need to supply card information is if you are buying ONLINE -- such as e-commerce, etc.

Who needs AV software on a computer if people reply to these sorts of emails.

That's why I'm very sceptical of getting ANY app for "Dumbdroid" phones. That OS is FULL of holes just waiting to be exploited - especially when you see some of the REDICULOUS apps around purporting to emanate from the Google "Apps Store".

Once those sorts of text messages appear on phones -- people will fall like crazy for them - especially as the whole area of trying to see what's currently executing on an android phone isn't that simple

--I've actually "De-Smart phoned" myself and gone back to one of the older Motorola Razor type phones -- I rarely text and only use a phone for PHONE CALLS. Much safer all round.
