Hi guys, I'm new on this forum.I have the following configuration and I want to know which version of windows 7 is better for it:

processor:intel core i5 460m
video card: RADEON 5470 512mb
RAM 3gb DDR3
HDD 320gb 5400rpm

Home Premium would be fine. But if you need some functions of the higher distros, you can run those too - matter of price. With 3GB of RAM, I would opt for 32bit.

The retail versions of Windows 7 come with both 32-bit and 64-bit media, so you can install either. The 64-bit version will run perfectly well on 3GB and, if you upgrade/increase your memory it will run even better.

Unless you have 16 bit apps or some other considerations, go with x64 if not for now, for future.

As to what level of Windows, only you can answer what functionality you need. Home premium is very functional - would suggest that as your minimum.

but your system spec says you have ultimate x64. Are you pulling our legs
