Yumi issue ??

I normally use grub4dos on my multiboot usb flash drives but decided to play with YUMI.
I used a Patriot 8GB USB 3 (no switch) and YUMI-2.0.0.9. I've somehow ended up with a flash drive that has become readonly/ write protected. I've tried everything I could think of and searched for possible answers to no avail.
In diskpart the "attributes disk" are read-only. It accepts the clear command but doesn't clear it.

It could be a faulty flash drive but this issue and YUMI seem to be linked by other people even if it isn't common. The flash drive was working fine before playing with YUMI.

Any suggestions?

Any attempt to write to the disk including Clean all, chkdsk /f etc fail with the message "The disk is write protected". The readonly flag appears permanently set.

As I said others (probably not many) seem to notice the same problem after using YUMI to install a bootable flash drive.

Clean command should not be contraverted from Win7 installation media CMD.

If so try "Delete Partition Override"

Thanks but I still get the write protected message. I'll assume it's a hardware failure and dump it. It's no big loss but I'm curious why it failed this way and only when I started playing with Yumi - probably coincidence.
