    Hi,
That could be, it is why I said that it was French, but of all the softwares, batchfiles, registry keys and so I tryed in all theses years, (as Microsoft architecture stay the very same beneath the language interface) something like that never occured me. And I use many softare from many countries, english, german, and so.

Also, the error message tell something quite different.

Are you positive it is that (language problem), or is it just an idea ?

    Marie

It was just an idea since that error indicates that the program doesn't think you are running Windows 7 or Vista. It may just be looking for the OS name in English, but since it's in French it doesn't match and therefore doesn't think you have W7 or Vista installed.

Yes I got the same idea...
But as i installed so many different countries softwares of all kind, without never an annoyance about this langage thing, I wonder.

Tutorial has been updated to add OPTION THREE.

Thank you to our member Pyprohly for creating the Unassociate.bat file in this option. :)

When unassociated, it won't be listed anywhere or open with any program by default afterwards.

    Download problems using Firefox

Problem downloading unassoc.zip from developers web-page using Firefox v47.0.1

    Firefox v47.0.1
    - will not download
    - opens ZIP in 7zip window, listing the contents unossoc.exe and readme.txt
    - copying the unassoc.exe to a folder of your choice works
    - the EXE functions as expected

    PaleMoon and Internet Explorer (browsers)
    - operate as normal, no problems
    - both offer the options to "Save" or "Open" the ZIP file (as expected)
    - downloaded ZIP can be extracted to a folder of your choice

Problem is Firefox and not the download provider.

Try updating your Firefox as it's quite out of date.
