pxfragonard,
I'm happy that you were able to get it sorted at your thread here. :)
I also got that stupid fake "Win 7 antivirus 2012" attack on my laptop, and all .exe flies could not be run in non-administrator login at all after I cleaned up the virus(they could be run in admin login by the way). Anyway, after more than 5 hours searching on the net I finally arrived at this SevenForums, at this very helpful link for fixing the .exe problem.
I followed exactly the steps and it WORKED flawlessly. My first trial did not work, but it worked after the second merge; don't know why it did not work the first time but it did work eventually.
I had to created this account just to write these words and a big THANK YOU to Brink for your help.
thanks, works great!.....`fЯ@ğŌ ︻┳═一
Hey thanks alot for the helpful information :)
up until now I had been looking on heaps of different forums trying to find the right solution to the problem i'd been experiencing (couldn't access any exe. files without right clicking and 'running as administrator')
Easy, uncomplicated steps :)
Thanks again!
This one is still in need for sure lately! Some threads lately have been dealing with the Win 7 Antispyware 2012 virus where this information will be an asset once the malware is removed for those running into post virus problems.
Hi,
Is it possible to get a registry fix for .bas files (ie basic files). Mine seems to be corrupted and I tried the unassoc program with "remove" then "delete" options but it still only wants to open the files with either notepad or Remote Access ?.
Hello CravenHaven, and welcome to Seven Forums.
I have added .bas for you. I hope this helps. :)
