You're most welcome SG. :)
I need a .reg file for .jlnp which should use javaws.exe (Java(TM) Web Start Launcher) and not windows explorer. I cannot change the default setting.
Correction to my prior post...
The .jnlp file type should be associated to the javaws.exe (Java(TM) Web Start Launcher).
Could I just remove all .jnlp entries in the registry? Or would this cause more issues with the default association?
Thanks, Mike

Hello Mike, and welcome to Seven Forums.
No need to go and delete all .jnlp entries in the registry. You should never delete anything in the rgistry if you do not know for sure what you are doing. Doing so can cause serious issues in Windows 7.
Sorry, but .jlnp is not a default file extension that has a program set to open them with in Windows 7.
For this, you could use the tutorial below instead to use "Open with" to select the javaws.exe file to open .jlnp files with by default.
Open With - Change Default Program
Hope this helps,
Shawn
Shawn, thanks for the quick response. The "Open with" did the trick! I was able to reassign the default application. Thanks Again, Mike
I did this to try and sort out my .exe registry, but i followed all the steps and logged out/in and restarted and nothing happened still and i dont know how this happened Please help me

That wouldn't be an association issue. If you had an association issue with .exe files, you would get a "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Set Associations control panel." type error everytime you tried to run an exe file.
Instead, you might see if you may be able to right click on the program's installation file, and click on Run as administrator to see if that may help.
I would highly recommend to stay away from doing any registry cleaning. It usually does more harm than good when the program is allowed to just delete the scan results without checking and knowing what the results are for first.
I did as you said, but nothing works, is there another solution to this coz im bored of it now and need to fix it.
