    Nice. Thanks. I seemed to have random lockups. Not Win7 just IE8. And it doesn't show up in add/remove programs so I couldn't reload it.

    This helped a lot, I was having problems with Internet Explorer not allowing any windows media player content to stream. It was missing protocols under Network > Streaming Proxy Settings.. After resetting everything & restarting everything worked again!

    Hope this will help others like my self solve this problem!
