Will my programs work in XP mode?

Is it possible to find out if the specific programs I need will run in XP Mode?
And I mean...to run well with all features that I use/need.
    The programs: Rhino3D vs3.0 and VisualMill 5.0.

If not what would be the best way to run these programs on Windows 7 64 Home
    Premium?
    Thanks

I'm writing you from the XP Mode virtual machine right now...i can tell you as i have set it, that everything works fine. I've install some Apps like Pdf X-Change PDF viewer, IrfranView 2.45, Abiword Word Processor...and alternate players.:)

I 've set 1024ram instead of the 512 default ram.

    EDIT:
I think you can use alternate Virtual Machine with Win7 Home Pre... No?

    See some discuss here:
Install XP MODE with VMlite (Home Premium)

I should have been more clear...sorry.
I understand I have to upgrade to be able use Virtual PC/XP Mode.
I don't wish to take that step if I can't use the two programs I need.
Is there some way to find out before...or is it a chance type of thing???

My previous post was telling you to have a look around (in this virtualization forum threads) for an alternate XP Mode as VMLite...you could give it a try for your personal use then run your Apps.:)
