OK - you have some corruption in the registry , which I hope I can deal with.....
    Please copy the file
    C:\Windows\System32\config\COMPONENTS
    to your desktop
Compress the file, and upload the compressed file to your favoured fileshare site - preferably SkyDrive or Dropbox.
post a link to the upload.

I'll take a look and see if there is anything I can do with it.

    I've uploaded a file - fzkad.zip - to my SkyDrive at Noel's SkyDrive
Please download and save it to your desktop.

Right-click on the file and select Extract All, andsave to the default destination (which should be a folder on the desktop)

Create a new System Restore point

Open an Elevated Command Prompt, and run the followingcommands.

    REN C:\Windows\System32\config\COMPONENTS COMPONENTS.OLD1

    COPY %userprofile%\desktop\fzkad\COMPONENTS C:\Windows\System32\config

If you get an error with either command, STOP THERE -do not reboot! - post for instructions. (it may mean that the Components file is locked, or there's an error in the command)

Assuming both commands go OK, reboot, and run anotherCheckSUR scan - post the new CheckSUR.log file.
The run another SFC /SCANNOW, then post the new CBS.log file

Since you had a problem with the first # you called (person on vacation), I just called Microsoft and explained your situation and they said that the 1-800-microsoft # will work from Bangladesh.

If it does in fact work, you can have them do a remote and your problem will be fixed.-

They also said there are many people there and if they say the person is on vacation, ask to speak to a supervisor.

    Here's a chat # as well.
Times are different, you may have to call on U.S. time.

    http://support.microsoft.com/contactus/?ln=en-za#chat

Click second one down and a chat request will open.

@NoelDP , You said default destination - a folder on desktop, but the default destination is 'C:\Windows\System32\config\' shall I replace/paste it there or leave it after extraction on desktop ?

No change - so it's possible that the file was misplaced ... again, probably my fault (yesterday was not a good day!)

I'll try and re-write the instructions for WinRAR, since you seem to be using that rather than the Windows compression utility....

Once the fzkad.zipfile is saved to the desktop.
Right-click on my fzkad.zip file with WinRar and click Extract Files and save to the default destination (which should be folder on the desktop - C:\Users\<username>\Desktop\fzkad

Create a new System Restore point

Open an Elevated Command Prompt, and run the following commands.

    REN C:\Windows\System32\config\COMPONENTS COMPONENTS.OLD1
    COPY %userprofile%\desktop\fzkad\COMPONENTS C:\Windows\System32\config

(note the spaces, which were missing from the original post because of a system glitch)

If you get an error with either command, STOP THERE -do not reboot! - post for instructions. (it may mean that the Components file is locked, or there's an error in the command)

Assuming both commands go OK, reboot, and run another CheckSUR scan - post the new CheckSUR.log file.
The run another SFC /SCANNOW, then post the new CBS.log file
