Bardos mate are you the only user ie the administrator? see this windows update error 80070005 < typical of a few Google hits.
This thread too might have been better in the Updates section too mate as therein lie the members who are most likely to help out.:) But no matter I am sure someone will eventually see it that knows more than I do.
I know it is a permissions problem, I am the administrator and still I have this problem. I have seen that thread. Googled all over. There is a proposal in the first post that in a later post someone says is a bad thing to do. So I am still lost.
Ok, at the moment, running the reset.bat suggested by user Tim
edit: did not work

Ok Bardos and while I am thinking of it have you run either sfc or chkdsk or both - worth a shot

https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html < use the /f option in Option 2 ifnecessary
plus I found this it might be helpful How To Fix 80070005 Error?
I have tried everything, every fix I can google and still no update... error 8007005
What are you trying to update; the definition file or MSE itself?
List the fixes you've already attempted.
Added: Is this the same problem as your other post? Why are you posting multiple threads?
