Windows update error code 8004402F with KB2952664
Hi,
I've had this update issue going on for few days: Code 8004402F.
Log files here.
Thank you.
Kind regards,
This appears to be the critical error in the CBS.log...
It's not an error I've come across before, so I'll have to research it.Code:2015-04-15 16:45:58, Info CBS Progress: UI message updated. Operation type: Update. Stage: 1 out of 1. In the meantime, please post all the content of the CBS folder, and also the C:\Windows\windowsupdate.log file.
Hmmm
Please open an Elevated Command Prompt, and run the following commands:
ICACLS C:\Windows\Temp
ICACLS %TEMP%
ICACLS %TMP%
post the results.
Here are some instructions to make life easier :)
1) To open an Elevated Command Prompt Window (the ECP window), click on Start, All Programs, Accessories – then right-click on Command Prompt, and select Run as Administrator. Accept the UAC prompt.
2) To run the commands easier, highlight the block of commands, and right-click on the highlight – select Copy. In the CP Window, click on the black/white icon at top left – select Paste. The commands will run but may not complete the last command, so hit the Enter Key once.
3) To copy the results... click on the Black/White icon in the top left, and select Edit... 'Select All', and hit the Enter key - then use Ctrl+V or r-click+Paste to paste it into your response.

The Graphics Driver update won't install, because you already have a better driver installed.
KB2952664 won't install because the machine is getting an error when it attempts to create a temporary file.
The permissions on the various temporary file folders appear to be fine, and the locations are normal.
How much free space is there on drive C:\ ??
Hmmm - maybe the Event logs will have something useful...
Open Event Viewer
click on the Windows logs entry in the left pane to expand it.
Now click on the Application entry - wait while it loads.
Click on 'File' in the menu bar and select Save...
Save the file as Appevt.evtx
Repeat for the System log
then zip both, and upload them.
You appear to be having some major permissions problems - either the .NET 4.x isn't properly installed, or there are permission problems (possibly corruption?) in the registry.
I think it would be a good idea to uninstall all .NET 4 variants using Aaron Stebner's Cleanup tool .NET Framework Cleanup Tool User's Guide - Aaron Stebner's WebLog - Site Home - MSDN Blogs
Then attempt a reinstall of .NET 4.5.2 from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down....aspx? d=42642
