How to remove Windows 10 upgrade updates in Windows 7 and 8

Can't say anything about newer office versions but i have noticed some optional help content updates for office 2007 I've loaded
As far as usage stuff goes with them I'd hope they abide by the original settings which have not changed to my preferences as far as sending a file once in a while which I opted out of them during install.

New versions I'm sure are a kettle of fish to begin with just like all net frame work needers like cd6 the only net frame work program I have installed on my Acer board that delivers online web content for additional features and support videos.... bs I would not use anyway but I'm stuck with none the less

You didn't miss much
He implied there is 1 million people upgrading a day and at that rate wouldn't get to 1 billion in there forecast
He also questioned why M$ stated that 10 would cost more after the 1 year free offer expired.

I have had no issues on my lappie and desktop but on wifie's box GWX Control Panel equipped, been having an issue. Installing updates takes forever. I have twice run the sfc / scan now, ran the WU Checker, Readiness Tool and WU troubleshooter. It came up with the 80070057 error but I cleaned things up and was able to install a tiny 100 kb update w/o issue, repeated again with 5 small KB sized updates and it took 30 minutes.

Here's where I was at the start of my trials and tribulations.
Windows Update Issue stays at 0%

I'm running [EDIT: Just finished] the Update Troubleshooter again now. The service registration is missing or corrupt message is gone but the 80070057 is still there.

In any case, I seem to remember a KB mentioned here that sped up slow WU activity, if I am gonna wait this long, would like to install that one first. Anyone remember what it was or has old age got me imagining things.

Market Share among gamers as measured by what hits Steams Servers:

Win 7 - 43.47%
Win 8 / 8.1 - 17.10%
Win 10 - 29.85%

In other words, about 1/3 of gamers have done the upgrade to Win10.... and w/ Win 10 bringing DX12, I'd expect that group to be among the most likely to upgrade.

Overall, it seems Win 10 reached 9% market share by the end of November.

Windows 10 had 7.94 percent market share in October, and gained 1.06 percentage points to hit 9.00 percent in November. Growth has dramatically slowed already: Windows 10 jumped almost 5 percentage points in its first month, but has only gained a little over 1 point each month since. In the hopes of countering this slowdown, Microsoft has announced ..... a plan to make Windows 10 a “recommended update,” which would make Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users more likely to install it.

What’s curious is that in November, Windows 10’s predecessors did not slip as in previous months. Windows 8 managed to regain 0.34 percentage points to 2.88 percent, while Windows 8.1 grabbed another 0.47 points to 11.15 percent. Together, they owned 14.03 percent of the market at the end of October. Still, the duo will fall below the 10 percent mark next year, despite having never even passed the 20 percent market share mark (the peak was 16.45 percent in May).

Before Windows 10’s debut, Windows 7 passed the 60 percent market share mark in June. It’s also unlikely to ever to see that figure again, though it did manage to gain 0.40 points to 56.11 percent.

So they have it at an adoption rate of about 1/3 of gamers at 11% of eligible OS licensees upgrading:

Win 7 - 56.11%
Win 8 - 14.03%
Win 10 - 9.00%

Well, here is what happened Yesterday evening in my updates.

I was checking (again ) if nothing had slipped through the net in the past and, Yes, I found KB 3083324 was installed on 15/9/2015.

I uninstalled it. Then, for a while, my system was very slow and sluggish till all of the sudden, it got normal again.

I thought about it and went to look in Windows Update.
There all my hidden updates ( that's now empty ) had moved to Updates waiting to be installed, so now all the nasties are there ( see image)

and I am told I have never updated

I am thinking, no sense in hiding them again, better leave them where they are.

Plan B : I could do a system restore till 19 December ?

Yep some updates do not like to be hidden :)
Just leave them in the Optional section to collect digital dust

Visual C++ might be an okay one to load obviously you have the others already installed if it ever shows back up that is, Unless someone said to pass on that one ?
Wonder what the other 5 Important updates were :/

There were only 1 misclassified imho that I have hid kb...2343
