    Upgrading from windows 7 to windows 10, error 80070005


    Hi all,

    I am trying to upgrade my windows 7 laptop to Windows 10 but each time I try I get a Errors Found code 80070005. I have been though the following post

    Windows Update Posting Instructions

    1. Downloaded and installed the SURT tool first time it failed and the other times in seems to be ok
    2. SFC scan said that it found errors and fixed them
    3. I have attached the windows update screen print
    4. I have added the Log files as per the guide

    I have also removed the c:\windows\SoftwareDistribution and recreated the folder (after stopping the update service) and tried again but each time I still get the same issue

    and ran the WindowsUpdateDiagnostic tool (screen print attached capture2) there was 2 errors now there is just one

    I have also tried to directly down load the update using the MediaCreationToolx64 and still have a issue when installing from the Laptop

    Can any one please help me ?

    I am having similar problem (trying to update Windows & home Premium 64-bit to Windows 10) ran the troubleshooter also and I got a similar message: Windows update Error: Problem found….not fixed:
    Windows Update Error 0x80070057(2015-07-31-T-12_10_45_P

    Pleas help.

    There's only one error in the posted SFC scan -
    Code:

    There are no other errors in any of the posted files.

    Please post your C:\Windows\windowsupdate.log file.
