Can I set the default file open and save dialog locations?

I work with Microsoft TFS and need to save a lot of documents in numbered directories. Opening and saving these files is a pain as there are so many of them, can I set the default file save and open dialog locations to ease my suffering?

Ideally this is a registry entry I could update to switch over new default locations, this can happen up to 10 times a day. Please do not suggest adding the locations to favorites, as that tree navigation is the worst thing ever.

Thanks for the suggestion, A Guy!

I should have made it more clear that I wanted the save and open dialogs to *start* (default) in a specific directory (location) of my choosing. The customization trick you linked does not do that specifically, it only adds shortcut links instead.

Never the less, I tried it out and it seems to work for some of the dialogs (notepad++ is one) but not for others (Excel or MS SQL Management Studio). The dialogs seem to be very inconsistent across applications, Common File Dialog is not commonly implemented.

From searching it appears it can't be done universally. Each program will dictate where the start is. This is close, but again, not what you are looking for I'm afraid
