Window 7 setup is not recognizing my hard drive
My computer was working fine couple of days ago until it froze up when i was playing a game. I tried to quit the game but next thing i know my whole computer froze up. So i had to forcefully restart my computer. When i tried to restart my computer, it give an error message: windows can't start and shuts down. So i tried to re-install my Window 7(64-bit) operating system. After booting from the window disk, it started the setup but it will not recognize my hard drive any more. I went into BIOS to see if my hard drive is getting recognized and yes it was. It is set to ATA/IDE Mode: Native and CHipset-SATA Mode: AHCI(and Yes i did tried setting it to IDE or Raid but nothing worked) and then i can see my hard drive listed there in SATA Port 0. I searched some forums and tried using diskpart solution to clean my hard drive completely by using shift-F10 command, but when i write "list disk" it says in diskpart "There are no fixed disks to show". I tried to change the cables connecting my hard drive to motherboard and the power cable but nothing works. Please if anyone can help me solve this problem it would be great.
P.S when the computer is on, the hard drive vibrates(as in something is circling inside) so i am guessing it is running so it is receiving power properely.
