I don't know how to delete download history trail

Google surprisingly has 8,000,000 results and not one shows it. The first 7 pages are deleting history, and this is not that.

Here is an example of the download history trail.

I don't actually care what people can see, but this shouldn't even exist.

    Welcome to our forum.
    We need more information.
Could you tell us what browser you are using?
Also what method are you using to get that picture?
    Do you have Ccleaner installed?

    I like those websites.

    Print screen from what?
How did you get that screen?
I know how you printed and posted here. I don't know how you got the screen to print in the first place. If I knew I could help you better.
Where did you tick to find that screen?

Do you have Ccleaner installed Y/N

No, I don't have Ccleaner installed. You don't know the print screen function on Windows? Function and print screen keys, paste into paint.

I think layback bear means how are you getting to the browsing file window there. Is it a website where you are clicking upload and that comes up?

Either way it does not matter.
Here is what you are looking for:

You might be interested in ccleaner. It cleans this as well as a bunch of other things.

We I'm not sure where it's coming from.
If it's coming from a right click on the back/forward arrow in the browser the history should clean when closing the browser if the browser is set for save no history.

If you take a picture of a tree and I ask you where you found the tree don't tell me you found it in the camera. You found the tree and took a picture and then you shared the picture with others.

Yes I know how to use print screen.
You had to do something to get that picture on your desktop before you could use print screen.

    Nickma71,
Layback Bear is asking for a list of steps to get to the screen that you posted.
Your answer could be something like:
Use IE to visit this link.
    Right click on any link...
    ...and select Save target as...
Then the Save As dialog box should appear
Click on the arrow to the right of the file name field.
That should make the drop down list appear.
That is the list of saved files that I want to clear.

FYI, it has nothing to do with your browsers. Notepad, Wordpad and other apps add files to that MRU list. (Most Recently Used) If you use the reg file in the tutorial that andrew129260 linked to, you will also be clearing the list for Notepad and the like.

It might be clearer now what the OP screenshot is.
Yes, the tut linked to will clear the info shown in the OP.

If we know where it came from and how it was got and where it is stored we will have ways of removing it. I'm positive of that.
