    2. Disable the below from startup

    3. Uninstall the Etron driver you installed now ... to this version which is currently supported by the motherboard... This driver is dated 2/20/2011...

    Completed all requested steps, also ensured version 1.0.0.96 (1/2011) was installed after uninstalling other versions. Same issue, This device cannot start. (Code 10)

    BIOS Settings
    USB 3.0 Controler - Enabled
    USB 3.0 Legacy Support - Disabled

    There are no devices plugged into the 3.0 ports, only a few devices (external HDD, Bluetooth Mouse/Keyboard) plugged into 2.0 ports.

    Uninstalled the old version, installed 0.101. It immediately put up a BSOD, did a CHKDSK, and then rebooted. Strange part is after the reboot I don't see any components with issues (no failed to start messages)... but I also don't see a 3.0 Controller in device manager. It all looks normal, its just not there.

    I will let you know if it locks up again over the next hour.

    weird I just looked at the driver inf file and it shows like this

    Etron="Etron Technology Inc."
    Etron.Mfg="Etron Technology Inc."
    Etron_DISKID = "Etron USB 3.0 Device Driver Installation Disk"
    Etron_XHCI.DriverDesc="Etron USB 3.0 Extensible Host Controller Driver"
    Etron_HUB3.DriverDesc="Etron USB 3.0 Extensible Hub Driver"
    Etron_XHCI.DeviceDesc="Etron USB 3.0 Extensible Host Controller"
    Etron_RTH3.DeviceDesc="Etron USB 3.0 Extensible Root Hub"
    Etron_HUB1.DeviceDesc="Etron USB1 (FS) Hub"
    Etron_HUB2.DeviceDesc="Etron USB2 (HS) Hub"
    Etron_HUB3.DeviceDesc="Etron USB3 (SS) Hub"
    USBClassName="Universal Serial Bus controllers"
    Could you click on the "scan for hardware changes" and see if something comes up
