Any idea if nvidia storage controller is connected to the harddrive or the intel controller? Was the controller setup as AHCI or IDE in win7? Still same setting in bios? did you do something with bios that could have flipped some setting?
All 3 driver packages were successfully removed. Restarted the laptop, and still crashed immediately with the 0x7B.
I did ugrapde sata to nvidia storage nforce3 controller driver on my system (I did a fake upgrade). But I don't have the controller on my system!
I think win7 supports it out-of-the box. Same for most (maybe all) INTEL sata controllers.
You entered "recovery environment" and were able to access C drive without loading extra drivers. So winpe (recovery environment) supports it.... then win7 itself supports them as well.

You have a empty DVD that can be burned? Try Make Windows 7 bootable after motherboard swap
On step 5 do "Adjust the OS to the new hardware automatically",
What drivers is it missing? see step 7 "what devices have no drivers"
It's a quite easy procedure. No need to read the pdf manual!
Procedure says:
After procedure has finished succesfully and system boots fine:
- Uninstall Device and Device Driver for devices no longer attached to system. Uninstall associated software as well. =>You didn't swap motherboard, so actually nothing changed. Only uninstall associated software associated to nvidia control and intel sata controller. "Intel Rapid Storage Technology" for example.
- Install all of your device drivers, then Windows Updates.=>check "device manager" any exclamation marks there? Any "other devices"?
- Refresh your Windows Experience Index (WEI) score. =>You already have a WEI score? If so, no real reason to update it
- When done, all you will need to do is to activate Windows 7. =>Not needed(?) Check if win7 has been activated
