I'm fed up with these Germans not realizing my typical Finnish male name Kari really is a name of a man. It's not a big problem, more of an annoyance. "Hello. May I speak to Mrs. Kari P., please" or "Dear Mrs. Kari P., you have been pre-approved ..."
A couple of minutes ago I had this PITA call. Six or seven times same question. "Are you sure?" Of course I'm sure, you f****** idiot. Can't help it if I was born with male genitals and then given a name everybody outside Finland thinks belongs to a woman.
I need a beer. Or two. Need to go to drink my lunch, back in office in 45 minutes.

OK, done some researching. My problem seems to be global; also people from English speaking cultures and countries think my name belongs to a woman, as this screenshot from NBC series "Frasier" shows:
Subtitles are in Finnish, in English it goes something like:
Frasier: Hello? You are on air.
Caller: Hi. it's me, Kari (with a sexy voice of a young woman!)
I give up, let the others think I am a cross-dressing woman.
I had to install speech synthesis software to surf SevenForums. Now I do it my eyes closed, letting a nice female voice (maybe Kari?) read new posts for me.
