    I have Win 7 Style Builder but I did mine prior to getting it and used a resource editor xiv32 I think was the name. I also did the exploder background color. I don't remember the details of it but it wouldn't work for everyone because the resources for some reason have different element numbers with different editors and OS's

    He meant you to follow any of the 'How to apply custom themes' tutorial he provided in post 2 for the zip he'll be uploading to work.

    I like using guide #2 myself
    Here you go put the 2 file & folder (screenshot) in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes It will then be in Personalization

    Hi Bongo

    How many files did you have to alter to get this effect.
    Hope you dont mind but I tried it to and its changed more than just the start menu. Some context boxes have also gone black. Now its a case of how far do you go with it. Do you start changing other white parts to get the same effect throughout or try to change some of it back lol.
    Start menu looks great though

    About 40 images some I had changed for another theme & about 8 or 10 text colors & add some properties.
    The context boxes changed when I changed the all programs menu to black.
    To do a complete theme you can change 500 + images easily
