I think i need a driver update but i have no idea of where to get them or how to install them? any help would be great please!

Did you try Windows Update to see if it gives any Generic Audio driver?
Also, do you have the audio icon at the taskbar?

Iv done the automatic updates that it comes up with? unless theres manual ones i can do?

Yeh i have the audio icon at the bottom, when i play music then green bar goes up and down asif its playing but just nothings coming out the speakers?

What speakers do you have? 2.1 or 5.1 or 7.1?

Check you mixer settings and make sure that your speakers are set as the default playback device....

I got my pc from pcspecialist on friday, had vista installed.. as soon as i got it i installed win 7 so.. i never tried it tbh.. vista was on my pc for a couple of hours
