    Multiple problems lately. Plz help.

When i right click the desktop and click Personalize, I get an error message saying,

    --------------------------------------------
    Explorer.EXE | X |
    --------------------------------------------
    |
    No such interface supported |
    |
    --------------------------------------------

    What is this?

Also, now when i try to save a picture from the internet anywhere but the download folder it says,

    --------------------------------------------
    SAVE AS | X |
    --------------------------------------------
    |
    picture.jpg |
    Class not registered |
    --------------------------------------------

Ive run multiple virus scans with Microsoft security essentials and it pulls up nothing.

I really dont want to re format or restore. Computers gotten really slow lately.

    Thanks all!

See if Malwarebytes' Antimalware discovers anything .....

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop
    |MG| Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.50.1 Download
    * Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
    * At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
    * If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
    * Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
    * When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
    * Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
    * When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. Copy and Paste that log into your next reply.

How it's working now? Also run sfc /scannow in an elevated command prompt.

Type cmd in start menu search. Right click cmd.exe which appears at top in the results and select 'Run as administrator'.
Enter the admin account's password if prompted.
Type sfc /scannow and hit enter.
Sit back and wait. If any errors are found, they'll be automatically corrected.

It checks the integrity of the system files and repairs any corrupted or tampered files. This wont cause you lose any data. It just retores the default system files in case of any corruption or modification.

    Various opinions on that.

Depends on whether you want free or are willing to pay. Some say the free is as good as the paid.

Look in the system security section for lots of discussion.

I use Microsoft Security Essentials and the licensed (paid for) version of Malware Bytes, both running at the same time.
