windows explorer crashing

    windows explorer crashing


    hi all, having trouble in Windows 7 moving files within documents and importing them from camera, sd card, hardrive etc. every time i attempt it `windows explorer` crashes, only been the last couple of weeks with this problem, any help would be appreciated, ty (just crashes and returns to where i started)

    Hi Len,
    for starters in the search box type,
    Indexing options - then run the troublshooter.

    Installed any new progs since the last time it worked?

    Maybe disable indexing operations as a test?

    Explain why you think the Event Log entry is related to Explorer crashes. Also try providing us with a full list of installed third party software.

    One way, amongst many ways, to do that:
    Install and run Minitoolbox and Piriform's Speccy; save your logs; wiser heads than mine will ask you for bitsNpieces of Speccy log that will give a listing of 3rd party programs.

    If it was my computer the first thing I would do is "sfc /scannow.

    Just follow this tutorial by Brink.
