Solved Which Anti-Virus Do you Use with Windows 7?

Dear All,
Which is the Anti-Virus you use and why?

1) Are you satisfied with the Detection Rate, Foot Print, User Interface and many other things.....

I was using Norton Internet Security 2009 (Pre Release) but it expires after 7 days and you have to get a new one again or CLean the system for the traces and Install it again Which I didn't like beacuse it included lot of work...

No issues in Performance wise in NIS (I like it the most after it has become lightening fast)...

Presently using F-Secure and the beta key is upto 6 months It means I can use it for free for 6 months....

Plus manual runs of Malwarebytes and Spybot S&D as required
Plus Comodo 3.9 Firewall

ESET NOD32, and i couldn't be more pleased. i love the firewall, the detection rate is good with very few false positives, and the database updates daily. memory consumption is minimal, and overall the app is very unobtrusive - most of the time, i don't even know it's running. the only notices i get come when the firewall detects new apps trying to sneak through.

I can say the same for F secuse but I can't compare them because i have never used ESET

Use any but "Kaspersky 8 designed for Windows 7 BETA", it's horrible Doesn't do ****.. Notifies you when a trojan got in to your computer and that's all. Well at least it notfies..

Thank u for updating about Kaspersky but ur infor says that u r on XP 32 bit with SP3 and how did u check Kaspersky, Just Curious, No Pun Intended??

Avast FTW. Works perfectly, uses very little system resources, and thoroughly checks everything without being obtrusive in any way. It has integrated perfectly with every web browser and e-mail client, and works on XP, Vista, and 7, 32-bit and 64-bit.

I have no idea what problem you have with the interface, it is intuitive when you even have to look at it (which is rare).

Bonus random story (I'm bored)... when I was working as a lowly tech at an independent computer/copier repair place in '97-98, we got a system with a virus on it. Tried every scanner out at the time - including the pricey ones, and they couldn't detect ****. Even fprot failed. I found this random, discontinued program from '93, and it magically detected and cleared the virus. The virus was so old that nothing else even looked for it.

I'm using the old Nod32 2.7. It is an "older" version of nod32 but the defonitions are the exact same. Nod32 2.7 dosent have firewall or antispyware or anything like that its just a very good antivirus. This gives you freedom to use other firewalls and anti-spyware software without any issuses.
