Completely Random Crashing

I have noticed that, too. Try to update it through Windows Update and see if you have any success.

Yeah no luck with that. If it matters I have nvstor.sys version 10.6.0.16

So just swaping this one file with another nvstor.sys wouldn't work?

You can install a vista driver in compatibility mode but not simply copy and paste it.

See if you can find a vista 64 bit driver and install it in compatibility mode.

Are you sure the controller is win 7 compatible?
What do you mean "the controller"...

OK either it is a RAID, or std HD controller. the HD plugs into it, and the controller handles the read writes to it.

Cannot find the Ethernet driver either...I'm not very impressed with Nvidia drivers.

Well first, it is always better to go to the mfr site and not use something like driver agent. those are both pretty std drivers so there shouldnt be a problem getting them from nvidia.

Well I have from the Nvidia site, no luck there. Tried windows update, no luck there. I just put this pic up because I think it is a nice clear way to see whats going on.

I don't really know what else to do. I guess I will try and call Nvidia support on monday...

I am Windows 7 Home Prem. 64bit.

Device Manager is listing two NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA Controllers. Both with version 11.1.0.33

The NVIDIA nForce 10/100 Ethernet is version 73.1.4.0

The computer says these are up to date. I think my computer might be drunk lol

any luck? I cannot find them anywhere.

If anyone knows where to get these updates please let me know! Nvidia.com doesn't have an update for nvstor.sys and also Windows update says it is up to date.

Freaking slow!!! AHHH
Sorry for the triple post but just so everyone knows problem solved. I have a bad memory socket on my motherboard. I put one sick of memory (2GB) and switched it out in each socket. I ran the computer for 2 hours in each one except for the bad one. Once I booted up, the comupter only lasted 2 min and then crashed. So that is how I came to the conclustion of a bad memory socket.

I guess that's what I get for buying a cheap ASRock motherboard.

Thanks to everyone for the help!
