Just give me some pointers as to the dimensions of the different items you're looking for
Too small would blur too much...too big is a complete waste of time
Most will be jpg but I'll see if I can get pngs as well.

So I have a image that I want to use as a background. Currently its going to be just the attached imaged. I was wondering if I could just use it as is or should I adjust the size of it? I am going to be getting photo shop and I currently have access to it so I can make the changes just not familiar with photo shop. Thanks in advance.

I would crop the black off of it, (which you can do in Paint, no need for PS) but other then that you wont need to alter it any. MediaCenter will auto resize it to fit inside it's window, so you dont need to worry about that part.

I'm usually happy just to find the right meta data for my movies. It's a pain when the movie has been remade 5 times with the same title. You would think it would look for the most recent version but it doesn't.

Nope, it ALWAYS looks the the "First" version. To force the fetching of the correct movie, add the year of the film to the folder name in ( ), ie. alice in wonderland (2010), will ONLY pull in the 2010 movie.

Yes I have discovered that trick and it does work to a certain extent although getting the meta data to stick can be problematic at times. I ended up turning off the auto look up setting because it only seems to cause problems for me. I'm sure part of the problem is my lack of experience with this program.

I need some more advice. I just upgraded my Main system to a Intel 980x setup.
That leaves me with a Intel Q6600 w/ 4gig memory. My client and Server both
are core 2 duo's so I know it would be in my best interest to use it in either my server
or my client but which? My Server is not being used for playback for the most part. The client is going to get the overall most use. So my thought was it would be best suited in my client. What do you all think?

It’s just been brought to my attention that my download packs for my Boxset icons where not complete.
I had another 95 icons that had not been released sitting on my PC, and I have now FINALLY got them uploaded.
You can find the updates by clicking the d/l link of your choice, then on the file page click the drop-down and choose ‘Update’, then download the pack.
I'm so so sorry about having been missing these for so long, and hope you guys enjoy!

If you're referring to Media Centers strip icons, you'll need to use Media Center Studio to change those.
