Yesterday morning itself I received an invite from MS Technet Team to download and evaluate the RC version of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. I am sure many other seniors here also would have received it. So it is already out.
The cumulative update for Media center was of course through regular Windows updates as pointed out by IownAmoneyPit. ( OMG, difficult to type out the nick. )
EDIT 04 Nov 2010: Browsing through the Australian Media Center Community forum, I came across this thread "Beware of October 2010 Cumulative Update for WMC7 (KB2284742)" here , wherein many have reported problems with it. Just for information.
