Solved How do i use a custom ISO with Microsoft Store USB Installation Tool

HI,

I have a problem when it comes to using a custom ISO to install windows seven using thethe Windows Official installation tool. The problem i have though is that when i try and open my ISO it comes up that its not valid.

I know the solution to this so i went over here

TO download a tool which apparently does something to the ISO which allows it to be used on the software, but when i double click the isoavdpcopy file it opens up a CMD screen and then dissapears all within a second. What am i doing wrong as i want to use this custom ISO.

I cant even post a screenshot of the cmd screen because it dissapears to fast and does nothing

Are you starting with an iso file or with a dvd?

Brink's tutorial is for putting your Win 7 DVD onto a USB.

Is this what you need?

Let us know. The solution is equally easy if you only have the iso but not the dvd.

Yes but the ISO is a custom ISO and its not from the MS store, its on a USB not on a Disc.

Try Multiboot USB. Download from here.

Create a bootable USB drive, place your custom ISO ( I presume it is bootable) in it, edit the menulist to show that ISO and then boot from the pendrive. Select it from the custom list when you boot from the USB pendrive. My post here may be of some help. Good luck.

This was very easy to do and it worked fine when running from the USB. Cheers
