Hi all,

I've been hunting around, but, basically, I don't know exactly what to even search for. Here's my setup: I have my PC hooked up to a standard monitor and computer speakers. I also have a digital audio out running to my receiver and a VGA hooked up to my LCD TV. Whenever I want to throw on a video for the kids, I have to go into sound properties, set digital out as my default audio, hit "OK" then go over to "Screen Resolution" after right-clicking on the desktop, setting the "Multiple Displays" to "Extend these Displays" hit OK then OK.

It may not sound like a ton of work each time, but I do it really often and I'd really like to automate it to one or two clicks. I was looking at ways to do it w/ VB Express, but couldn't figure out how to control video/audio settings. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

hey,

what you need is to download and install autohotkey and use the scripts below

Windows 7 Tip: How to change the default audio device with a hotkey

you can click on the source of the article to get more information

this will deal with the audio part

then use this script that i wrote to deal with switching the video

http://www.sevenforums.com/751791-post3.html

place the scripts in your startup folder if you want them to launch at startup.

i have a similar setup so hopefully this will solve your problem.

regards
