Another would be FireShot which allows you to capture not just a screen, but the entire webpage.

Indeed, jado897, therefore, I nominate, as a free solution, Maxx's post as the most utilitarian example. :)

Nice, Maxx, I wasn't aware of this extension. I use Fastone Capture, a paid for program, to grab scrolling pages such as websites and the like. However, for websites alone, it appears FireShot would be an appropriate solution. Thanks!

mikedl- The last freeware version of FastStone capture is also my software of choice in most cases, but FireShot does a much cleaner rendering of entire web pages like this 1247 x 1648 Price Wheeler webpage containing the specs for my Brick Wall Surge Filter which is just over 2 full screens on my Sony Bravia monitor which would have turned out segmented had I not used FireShot...

Maxx, that's a great screenshot. As you mentioned, FastStone sometimes segments the scrolling of a webpage - probably a lot to do with my processor speed, though. I'll look further into Fireshot but, since I use FFx64 daily, I don't know if it will be compatible.

Edit: Just as I feared:

And when I attempt to use it after installing by clicking "Install for Windows anyway" selection:

FastStone does well, also, (usually) but, again, I don't have the free version as the current version is no longer available for free (I never tried the older, still available, free version of FastStone for scrolling web pages).

Could you possibly show us a 6 screen long scrolling window capture like I did with FireShot only using the shareware version of the FastStone Image Capture because my freeware version does a very choppy job of it every time.

Maxx, have a look at the link in my post above. To make the comparison to your last FireShot capture more valid, I went to the same website (not the same exact page) and made a capture with FastStone (version 6.7).

Thanks! I didn't know that the new shareware v6.7 did so much of a better job than the free version at scrolling screen capture. I did a 1349 x 8269 FireShot capture of the same page this time with the correct Photobucket settings used with such large documents for direct comparison and here is a link to it...

Thanks, Maxx. It looks like FireShot does as well as the paid for FastStone. Too bad it's not compatible with my 64 bit browser. :(

Sometimes that's the price you pay for using the very latest iteration of software.
