However, it is surprising that a native 64-bit version of Revo is not available.

Then you will be really surprised to find out that Windows 7 installed Revo Uninstaller Pro x64 in the 64 bit program file folder right along side all of the other 64 bit programs on my computer. If Revo Uninstaller Pro was 32 bit it could not be installed and run without any problems as it does from the 64 bit program file folder which Windows 7 installed it in.

As a fan of the 32 bit free version of Revo Uninstaller you could be as impresses with all of the new features and functionality in Revo Uninstaller Pro x64 as I have been since I got it especially to run on my new Win 7 x64 computer.

I know this isnt the answer you are looking for but the best on is the cpanel add/remove programs. Any other can and will leave fragments behind. It may work or may not. Why di you think you need a different one?

I believe the cpanel add/remove programs leave fragments behind.
For example i remove nod32 with cpanel add/remove programs,restart,then i tried to install a diferrent antivirus and i get the nessage <<you have nod32 in ur system>>
I check in the registry and i found nod32 leftover/fragments files.
So i reinstall nod32 and remove it with urunistaller pro and NO leftover/fragments files,is clean everything.
I had that issue with lots of programs.
So what is ur opinion?
Do i make anything wrong?

I've been using Revo Uninstaller on both my x86 and x64 computers for many years and when it comes to removing GB after GB of bloatware or in day to day use Revo always leaves the Registry free of unneeded keys and values.

The best generic advice IMHO is what was stated at the start....
Use Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a program > Reboot.
That is usually all that is required.

At one time I used to uninstall programs from the control panel, but I grew tired of having to follow up by hunting down and manually deleting all of the folders, files and Registry values left behind especially when I wanted to do a clean install of a new version of the program so now I just let Revo Uninstaller do the clean removal of programs and it does a spectacular job.

This years i tried many free and some paid uninstallers.
My <<test>> for uninstallers are some old alawar/lolo games,those things sometimes live fragments behind what ever you try,i tried and other programs but those are very besetting!!that's why i test with them.
Uninstaller pro 100% left nothing behind!
Revo clean 95% left one file behind.
Free Uninstaller 80%
And others worst than that.
Hint:Revo free cannot see all files installed on ur pc,netframwork,visualC++ etc,for those you need the paid version.
Anyway i believe is matter of taste/usage

I couldn't agree more. On one Revo Uninstall of an HP program that was not functioning properly on my Win 7 x64 computer Revo found and deleted 6,855 of its files! I'm very glad I didn't have to hunt them all down myself and manually delete them!

I agree with Shark for uninstalling general software. I do not agree when trying to uninstall any security software. Another example is is Java. One needs to use a Java uninstall tool get rid of all the Java remnants. Windows uninstaller simply does not do it.

Revo Uninstaller creates a System Restore point, uses the program's built-in uninstaller first and then only goes on to cleanse the leftover registry entries, files and folders.

For your codecs, however, I go to the "HELP" screen and uninstall from there as per instructions.
