Tried to search for this first so if it's been answered I apologize.

My work recently upgraded my laptop from Win XP Pro x86 to Win 7 Pro x64 and this is when this issue started happening:

I have a Microsoft Bluetooth Keyboard, Keypad and Mouse combo set and every once in a while they will freeze for about 2 minutes and during that time I can't use any of them to interact with the computer. After about 2 minutes it seems like they unfreeze and go back to working normally.

I'm not really sure what the issue is because if I type keys and move the mouse, etc while the screen is frozen, all of the keys I pressed are processed immediately after the computer unfreezes...

If that doesn't make sense let me know and I'll try to re-word it. Thanks for your help, this is really frustrating me as it happens several times a day now.

Hi kcwebmonkey and Welcome to SF!!

Download and run DriverView

R-click and "Select All" (Ctrl+A) in DriverViews opened window and then Save. Attach the saved .txt file to your original post. We may be able to spot which drivers, if any, need updating.

Thanks fimble, I've attached the DriverView report to my original post. I'm not sure if I have the latest Bluetooth drivers or not because I couldn't find out where to update the drivers and Windows Update doesn't show that I need any.

Windows Updates and Device Manager are known to "update" your drivers to older versions.

Always use your PC manufacturers Website, motherboard manufacturers Website or hardware manufacturers

Website for driver updates.

Lenovo? Visit their website first and check for driver updates.

There's one odd driver among your bluetooth drivers and that's only because of its name:

Code:
==================================================
Driver Name : btusbflt.sys
File Type : Network Driver
Description : Widcomm Bluetooth USB Filter for [B][COLOR=red]Windows XP[/COLOR][/B]

It may be worth checking through Broadcom Support that

you have the right drivers. No doubt you have.

Your Conexant Modem drivers could do with updating:

thanks for your help. I downloaded the Broadcom Bluetooth updater and it updated several drivers. We'll see if this fixes the issue!

Thanks Again

Had similar issues with MS bluetooth mouse 5000. In my case, was interference issue, I believe, between wireless network and bluetooth both using 2.4G connection. I have dual band router, and as soon as I reset my connection to the 5G band, my bluetooth mouse started performing normally.

That's why I'm quite happy with my wired mice and keyboards. I have no urge or need to be more than 1.8m away from the monitor when operating the PC.
