Windows doesnt start, need urgent help please.

At one point when I was doing work on my computer a couple days ago,it suddenly auto-restarted. Now, every time it starts up, it either crashes at the "Welcome" screen, or it freezes/crashes once it gets to the desktop. It even does this most the of time in Safe Mode! My system restore can't help because for some reason it wasn't activated before this problem occured. Does anyone know a fix to this??

I can't even start up the computer, all of my work is on it :(

No, I do not have the CD. Startup Repair launched a few times but it did not help.

My Startup Repair just rarely randomly starts up sometimes, I don't know how to MAKE it start. Is there a way without a CD or anything?

I am downloading a torrent of my Windows version right now incase nothing works.

Be extremely careful ! With a torrented version you may get many more problems that you already have. :mad: Try Seven Forums reccommended options first ;)

You need to run Startup Repair from the DVD or Repair CD so it isn't dependent on HD files which may be infected.

First however try to boot into Safe Mode to install, update and run a Full Scan with Malwarebytes: Malwarebytes

If you can't get into Safe Mode, run a free bootable AV scan from CD: FREE Bootable AntiVirus Rescue CDs Download List

Next burn a Repair CD if you don't have Win7 install DVD: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/2083-system-repair-disc-create.html You can immediately copy out your files: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/93347-copy-paste-windows-recovery-console.html

Then run Startup Repair up to 3 separate times with reboots. It should automate System File checker; if not, run it from System Recovery options Command Line: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/139810-sfc-scannow-run-command-prompt-boot.html and try System Restore from the options list, too.

If Win7 will not start, run Factory Recovery from boot Or using a Win7 installation DVD, clean reinstall after wiping the HD of infected or corrupt code: http://www.sevenforums.com/installation-setup/125874-re-install-windows-7-a.html#post1086729
