Hi,

I do have a Windows 7 Ultimate x64 machine running on a NVIDIA GTS 250 and i7 860.

Default screen resolution is 1080P [1920 X 1080].

While playing a video on any of the players [not in full screen mode] the screen resolution seems to be 1080P and fits the screen size perfectly. But as soon as I make the video full screen the resolution on the screen get's messed up and stretches a little beyond the screen size in all direction. Any idea as to why this is happening and if anyone knows of a fix for this do let me know.

Also just before the screen changes to full screen it causes the screen to blackout and then switches over to full screen.

I have already tried re-installing the video driver and this hasn't helped fix the issue.

Thanks,
Akarsh

That's called overscan. Try running Windows Media Center setup and selecting flat-panel for your monitor. That should globally disable overscan.

Thanks Baarod, that did not help. I had flat panel selected on the WMC setup.

The issue seems to happen only when I go fullscreen. Looks like any video I go fullscreen on using WMC/WMP/VLC player all exhibit the same issue. Re-installation of the video driver did not get me around this issue with either.
