HELP_New Dell Laptop_Crashing and Blue Screen of death

Hi All, I am really in need of some help if possible.

I recently bought a new Dell XPS 16 laptop but seem to be incurring a daily crash or blue screen of death incident which can not be good for me or the laptop!

The blue screen error seems to be something about something called BUGCODE?

I followed some forums who said remove AVG but this didnt work?

Also the laptop just locks up all of a sudden or goes to a black screen and crashed?

Can not get the Task Manager of and have to do a hard reset to get it back up again?

II downloaded the SF Diagnostic Tool and have attached the files, so hoping all the info is there but if you need anything else let me know?

Do you have any USB devices attached? If so, what are they?

Hi Jonathan, thanks for the super fast reply!

I have run the Driver Verifier and re-booted. I have downloaded the BSOD Dump & System File Collection app (EXE file) ready for after some BSOD's.

Yes I am using the USB for a mouse??

I thought it was something to do with the mouse so changed it for another but still getting the same problem?

1st mouse was a Techair 3D Optical Mouse
2nd and present mouse is a Microsoft Wheel Mouse optical USB and PS/2 compatible

I haven't had any problems with these on other computers in the past if that helps?
I do use USB memory sticks but they are not left in?

Anything else you can think of for me to do please let me know.

It sounds like bad USB devices are not the problem. If that dump is an indication of what the other dumps are going to look like, we'll have to investigate other causes.

I think the best thing to do at this point would be to wait for Driver Verifier to cause a BSOD, and then upload the jcgriff2 report.

Have you checked your temps and fans? I didn't look at the dumps but overheating can cause BSOD.

Temperatures of Cores seem to vary between 46-50 degrees depending what im doing?

To be fair it has been on all day as im doing work? Should that matter

That's probably a fair representation of the temperatures of your computer under normal load. Heat does not seem to be the problem here.

Ok just started my laptop up this evening and had three BSOD in a row??

God know what is up with this thing?

I have attached as per

BUT CAN NOT LOCATE THIS FILE????? the PERFMON HTML file and attach the zip file to your post

- the original installed OS on the system
- full retail version
- came pre-installed on system
- Full Retail came on computer

Intel Core i7 Q820, 8GB Ram

- What is the age of system (hardware) = 4 months
- What is the age of OS installation (have you re-installed the OS?) No 4 months, no reinstall

Just going through those now, I thought I had turned the driver verifier on previously?

Should this show up as it didnt?

No dumps showed up as Verifier_Enabled; open a command prompt and enter verifier /query. If it displays "no drivers being verified", follow the guide and enable it again.

The blue screen goes so quickly I cant read the code then it reboots its self?

I really need to do work on it till the wkd when i can reinstall windows and see if that resolves it?

-System Protection (on the left)
-Advanced Tab
-Under Start up and Recovery click Settings
-Under System Failure make sure the first box is checked and the second box is not checked.
-Under write debugging information choose small memory dump and leave the small dump directory how it is.

The next time your computer crashes, you will see the BSOD and it won't go away until your restart your computer. You will then have a folder created on the C:/ called minidumps and that's the file you need to upload

By default, Kernel Memory Dump is selected, which will create a small dump file in addition to a full sized one. I recommend you go back and select Kernel dump, as the large dumps are sometimes helpful.

If you could please upload a new jcgriff2 report, that will hopefully show up those recent BSODs.
