Welcome to Seven Forums Ar73m1x. 1st of all WEI scores are just an indication of actual performance, so don't sweat them . 2nd, the whole system will determine individual scores as well. For you, I'd think it's your HDD. If you had a good SSD, and perhaps double the ram, it might just give you a 7.8 (which others are getting apparently). I'm sure your new system has great performance, so don't worry, but a SSD may be in your future

Hey guys. both the 2600 and the 2600k get 7.6 unless you OC. The 2500k gets 7.5 withour OC. OC the 2600k to 4Gz and it only gets 7.7

But the 3DMark scores jump heavy when you OC the 2600k and 2500k

Yeah, you have to have a 64bit OS to really have a chance at a high scorer. You will probably have a handful of programs that you use that will not work on a X64 OS, but trust me, you just get a newer version of the program or find a substitute and you are sorted. I did and have never looked back.

My netbook's WEI improved slightly after a few days of optimizing and removing bloatware. 5.8 is pretty good for a 5,400 RPM drive, I think.

All mine set at 7.3 apart from my HDD
I have only oc'ed my Graphics card. My CPU has been left as it is a baseline quad core.

I've seen that on some versions of Windows, depends on the language, I beleive.
