Should I upgrade to 64 bit?

As you can see from my system specs info, I only have 2GB of RAM. That is the maximum the mobi can handle and the next computer I am going to build will be a £2000 job in the far-ish future.
I'm currently running windows 7 professional 32 bit on this machine, but it is a 64 bit capable processor.
Given that I only have 2GB of RAM and reinstalling all software, especially Portal in Steam (would take weeks to download again), what are the benefits of 64 bit?

Other geeks may say something else, but in my opinion you can save you from the trouble of reinstalling. With your motherboard and current hardware setup, there's nothing to gain in installing a 64-bit OS.

If you play with toys like Photoshop, AutoCAD and others, go to the 64 bits, even with 2 Gb of RAM.

If not, stay in 32 bits.

I use paint.net sometimes, but none of those programs, so I'll stick with 32 bit. Thanks for the advice

Well if your just into office work in it then u may upgrade it to 64-bit,but that wont boost you in any way,better work with win xp.But if you are into gaming and win7-64 bit with 2GB RAM....Not a good idea,it would rather decrease ur performance,so id say stick to win xp/win 7 32 bit.

I would deff stick with 32. Unless you do RAM upgrade and plan on using labor intensive programs. You might as well and save your cash for a sweet new rig!

Man if ur planning to upgrade to 64 Bit...make sure u get a monster pc with min 6 gygs of RAM....youll be blown off (my personal experience).
Its a beauty with crysis 2.

You´re welcome. paint.net is not a RAM-eater, so I think that you will not have any problem, and 32 bit will fit better in your machine.

Now, you will have only to consider the necessity of make a RAM upgrade in this PC, or save some money to boost up your brand new machine.
