Getting hitman 47 to work on windows 7 64 bit

I am running windows 7 64 bit and hitman 47 is not working... it crashes as soon as I try to start a game... get no particular error message just says it has stopped working...

All my drivers are upto date and have dx9 installed... have tried different compatability modes but no luck...

here are my system specs:

1: Update Direct X :

2. Update (Custom, Clean install) Nvidia driver (uninstall older driver first) :

This new driver solves for me the crashing problem in DirectX mode..

3. Use this to solve the speed problem u may have.. :
Max CPU: Another one for your developer toolbox... - Kenny Kerr

Stressing half of your cores will give the game normal speed..

4. Download and install Nglide which emulates "3DFX" drivers for this game :
http://www.zeus-software.com/downloads/nglide

Tweak your settings: START --> ALL PROGRAMS --> EIDOS INTERACTIVE --> Hitman - Codename 47 --> click on "SETUP" and choose your resolution and Direct X, Opengl or 3DFX..

Tweak your settings: START --> ALL PROGRAMS --> EIDOS INTERACTIVE --> Hitman - Codename 47 --> click on "SETUP" and choose your resolution and Direct X, Opengl or 3DFX..

...and see what gives.

So you use 270.51 beta.. one driver before this one and directx mode will crash..
My speed is way to much on a dual core and since you have a quad core ..

My version of Hitman Codename 47 is "b192".. (you can see this on the right-above corner if you start the game)
I have an older version and that one doesn't work..

Try this patch:

OpenGL + 3DFX Nglide mode was the only way to get it working on older drivers from Nvidia..
This with version "b192"

With 270.51 beta this is solved for DirectX mode as i mentioned..
I'm testing these games with every driver coming out..

Thanks for download... unfortunately it will not work... says cannot determine my version and won't patch... the game is from gametap so it should be upto date will look on their site again for more answers and send a ticket thanks.

Ad/Change the lines mentioned:

LocaleDLL Locale.dll
Resolution 1680x1050 <------------------------------------"change this to your monitor maximum resolution"

Hitman Collection 4 game bundle includes Hitman1 and 2, Contracts and Blood Money (PC DVD): Amazon.co.uk: PC & Video Games

I have the 3 in 1 version.
You can get the "steam version".. and look @ the forums if the same problems exist.

These versions should work on your PC config..

I think you have the old version which is not updated..

Perhaps you could do the same with hitman.

You might also look through here for some suggestions Tips on Troubleshooting Game Issues but being that the game is 11 years old well....

I got bloodmoney version and tried it... but I actually do not like the hitman game... it takes too much trial and error and too much walkthrough information for my liking... I like shooter games with more action that you can figure out more easily as you go... so hitman is not for me thanks for all replies

well, it is your choice
playing the original hitman with cheats is awsome fun though. you should try the hotel level with invisibility. bloodmoney isn't actually that great, rather an anticlimax to the series, but yeah, the games all have a deeper level than just shooting, which can get very annoying at times.
