Solved Download folder is on Desktop and won't delete

My Downloads folder is on my desktop and I wan't to delete it but it's not a shortcut so if I delete it then anything inside will be deleted also... How do I get the folder off my desktop but without deleting the content inside? There's also a Downloads folder in my user name folder which is where it's supposed to be..

Hello Larlar,

After backing up the contents of this folder to another location to be safe, you could use OPTION TWO in the tutorial below to restore the default location of your My Downloads folder to remove it from your desktop and return it to the default location.

Hello SteReoZ, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You would want to use OPTION TWO in the same tutorial below for this. To determine if the Downloads folder is a duplicate or not, you would need to right click on it, click on Properties, and see if you have a Locations tab or not. If not, then it's a duplicate.

it is a duplicate, but i dont get all the steps like im not that good with computers so i dont no half of what im doing..... even when im following the steps
