I downloaded a video around a month ago and soon deleted it. My desktop seemed to have saved some incomplete back-up file data and I tried to delete it but since I had already deleted the video, it just tells me that the file doesn't exist. Now I have a blank icon on my desktop that I can't delete because the file data it had doesn't exist anymore. How exactly do I solve this problem?

Was this a torrent download? Did you resolve the malware problem you clearly had in your previous post?

Ashampoo WinOptimizer 2016..free will fix it. Had lots of trouble ... same as you..fixed it first with a batch file. Next used elevated command prompt with the help of others and still get this problem. I searched and found what works for me. Try it and let me know if it still works. I only use the software to "right click" and destroy non-existant file...nothing else,so I cannot speak to any other feature. Hope this helps you.
