Willing to know this cos best for me is still RC 7100 x64, and like I comment in one thread of drivers I think is due to intel chipset drivers, on 7100 all are installed but in others builds just 3 or 4, and using those microsoft default, things don´t work fine on my rig.

My first build!
Is there any good change that it is worth for to update from 7229 x64 to 7232 x64? :sarc:
None that I can really noticed. In truth, I haven't had a single problem since 7137. Each build has seemed marginially more responsive (but some of that could be my imagination). Stability has been exceptional. However, based on some of the scuttlebutt I read online, it's gaming stability that has really improved. My system stressing apps are limited to Bibble 4.1 and PhotoShop CS4. Also, I suspect my lack of any problems, especially with the earlier builds, can be to my having 'clean installed' each of them.

Then reading you, dunno which one is my problem but any build I try worse goes respect the 7100, all goes slower, time boot increased, less responsive, etc. Anyway I will give a chance again to 7232 x64, but I think I will have to come back to 7100.

And about drivers are you installing the chipset one? It´s weird for me that with 7100 install all and with other builds just 3 drivers. Not sure if the default one are the same of intel. I will check this better if I install 7232.

Don't forget that 7100 was packaged by Microsoft for general consumption by the public. The various leaked builds were intended for specific target audiences who knew what to expect and were supposedly prepared with all the drivers and things they might need to install -- heck, many of them were/are actually writing the drivers.

And, yes, I keep a full set of all the various drivers I need for my hardware on a USB key, ready to install with each new build.

Agreed. I keep all my drivers on a USB plus some of my programme activation keys.
For the last three versions the only thing I've had to install is my Kone mouse driver, everything else is already there because I've upgraded.
However, I'm not sure about an upgrade install from 7100 to 7229 or 7232.
That's quite a jump. Take some other advice on this but weh's idea of getting your drivers ready on a usb stick is a good one.

hope this helps, John:)
