Dimming the brightness of the monitor

Their may be a 3rd party program that does what you want but I think it depends on the video card and monitor you have.
I have a 50,000 to 1 ratio contrast monitor and had to use the software management that came with it to adjust properly so it won't burn my eye balls.

Have you adjusted to brightness with the monitors internal setup?
I have mine adjusted as a custom brightness and contrast setting and saved it in the monitor itself.

- I installed the stock 140mm case fan outside of case then installed the H70+ 1 of its 120mm fans inside case. Used the 2nd 120mm from the H70 to go in the Gpu tunnel.
230mm Front,200mm side,200mm top,120mm Gpu tunnel,120mm&140mm on H70.
Very useful little app.
Another good freeware is F.lux which automatically adapts your computer's display to the daylight times at your location.

Good question. It uses autohotkey, so only one instance can run I believe. Whether it will dim both would remain to be seen. Worth trying if you'd like it

Very useful little app.

I was going to plug F.lux--it is really cool--but definitely takes some getting used to. It keeps your eyes from burning out at night by dimming and warming the screen color, and keeps the screen a decent brightness and a daylight color during the day. It's meant as a productivity and health tool.
