I can't see the total number.
Some are essential services some are applications you must have chosen.

I tend to scrutinize auto startup programs (see by typing "msconfig.exe"). If they are applications which you only need to run when you need them then I untick the startup box. I'd stick to applications you have personally installed and know you don't need at startup. Some will be essential.
