My Local Disk E: is gone

Hi, I have a problem in my computer my games is not working because of Local Disk lost

I have Local Disk C,D and E where Local Disk E i save my games now i cant play when i open a program it says this below, but i didnt inserted a disk.

Pls help me

Can you please post a screenshot from Start -> Run -> DISKMGMT.MSC?

Please expand it to full-screen first, and spread the columns so that all the text between the column separators is visible.

Well... you're certainly correct. That second drive is gone.

Is that second drive with E on it a SATA, IDE or SCSI drive? Internal I assume, although you didn't specify. Or is it an external USB drive? Or something else?

Is it visible in the BIOS? If you get into the BIOS at machine boot time, does it show up in the list of hard drives? Or is it gone even from the BIOS's perspective?

Have you tried just pulling the power and data cables from it, and then re-seating them?

If it's a SATA drive, have you tried pulling the SATA connector to the motherboard and trying it in a different SATA connector on the board?

i would have said check BIOS. as it saves you opening the side of ur pc

typically when something changes in the bios you know about it from messages you get during boot, so i normally ask for people to check their power cables, data cables first.

there isn't any. that is just a way for sites and companies to charge more for the same cable.

There is no difference in maximum transfer speeds between cables labelled as SATA vs. SATA2. The only difference is that SATA2 cables have a locking mechanism to stabilise connection.
