Solved A Crisis Involving 'Unsigned' Drivers

I am in a somewhat desperate situation at the moment involving my main PC. After a recent Windows 7 update my internet connection completely ceased to work. When I tried to update my Wireless adapter's drivers (Netgear WNA1100) the following error message came up:

Windows requires a digitally signed driver:

A recently installed program tried to install an unsigned driver. This version of Windows requires all drivers to have a valid digital signature. the driver is unavailable and the program that uses this driver might not work correctly.

Uninstall the program or device that uses this driver and check the publisher''s support website to get a digitally signed driver.

Driver: Atheros Security NDIS 6.0 Filter Driver
Service: JumpStart Wireless Filter Driver
Publisher: Atheros Communications, Inc.
Location: C:\Windows\System...\jswpslwfx.sys

I attempted to find a temporary solution through using ICS to keep me connected through my laptop but my ethernet drivers have ceased to function properly (because of the Filter driver in question)

I also spent the better part of yesterday attempting to correspond with Netgear for a solution to no avail. Is there any way possible of resolving this without having to go through a full OS reinstall?

I've also tried to set Windows to allow unsigned drivers and yet the same result occurs. When connecting to the internet the procedure stops and for troubleshooting the problem in Windows a driver problem is cited as the issue.

I don't consider myself an expert in such matters so I wouldn't mind having suggestions dumbed down a bit. Also if it's needed. A full report of my system is linked below:
Report.txt - File Shared from Box.net - Free Online File Storage

I would really appreciate the help, this has put me under a fair bit of stress. >:

Hello Whitetomger, Welcome to the forum

Try the driver from here; WNA1100 Release Software - Version 1.1.4.32

Cheers for the welcome but I've already tried installing and uninstalling the latest version, the exact same error comes up. Even when I tried installing an older version of the driver as well. I tried using a different adapter but it wouldn't work either and ICS was affected too.

You can use 7-zip you will find a link here; http://www.sevenforums.com/software/92-free-great-programs-windows-7-a.html
Unzip the file to a folder on your desktop, Then go to device manager double click on your device. Select the driver tab, then update driver, browse my computer for driver software, browse. now point it to the folder where you have unzipped the driver.

Whenever I try to update it, it keeps saying that it is already up to date with the best driver installed. x.x

lol it doesn't even like the installed driver!!
I can only think of two options. You try this again in safe mode or you try uninstalling the old driver first and if you get the option to delete the old driver take it.

It's confusing as hell but I'm unsure if that driver's having the effect, it's filter drivers I believe which are hindering me connecting to the internet via ethernet and through my adapter. Been thinking about it for two days and I really don't want to do a full OS reinstall. x.x

This is the driver from Atheros which are the makers of the chip in your Netgear device and they are also digitally signed, as I understand it the filter drivers should be a part of this package. Once it is installed then everything should work

Still having no luck, I have no idea where things are going wrong or why it won't accept the software I downloaded. It's not being accepted at all. x.x

The other driver that you also need installed can be found here; ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download P6T Deluxe

You are talking about two devices here and they are independant of each other

Which items from there do you recommend I download from that list. Sorry for being a bother with this, I really appreciate the trouble you're going through for me.
It depends how you connect to the internet The netgear device is Wlan and you need the Atheros driver for it to work.
You mentioned ethernet which I presume is a wired connection if this is the case you will need the Marvell and maybe the Realtek drivers.
Most people only use one method of connecting to the internet.

Just confirm that this is the driverlink that you clicked to download the Atheros drivers

I also have the drivers you linked. Downloaded the other one just in case. Just unsure if I'm doing the installation process. Correctly. What you see displayed comes up whenever I plug in the adapter but I cannot finish installing Netgear's latest software due to the driver issue mentioned in my first post. You are doing OK :) I would like you to go through this tutorial; http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/165554-usb-driver-general-fix-problems.html?filter[2]=Hardware%20and%20Drivers Not that you have a USB problem, but because it should help you get to a point where no driver is automatically installed by windows and we can then concentrate on installing the signed driver.

The Netgear driver looks to be installed OK. Do you get a driver signature warning at every boot?
