Hi,

I created USB key with 7264 x64 (with tutorial) and changed cversion.ini to MinClient=7201.0 and then upgraded runing setup.exe

That worked fine for me :)

PS. You could try UltraISO (important: run as administrator) to modify .iso file

It has to be a number that is LOWER than the number of the build you are upgrading FROM. So in your case, the number must be lower than 7100. I would try 7000.0

Upgrade from 7229 to 7264 only somewhat successful

Yesterday I upgraded 7229 x64 to 7264 x64 by doing the upgrade in compatability mode.

It worked, but the computer was very sluggish. All my apps worked, but not much fun - I had gotten used to having a zippy computer.

Then BSOD (In retrospect probably not related to the upgrade) when waking from sleep when media center is active. Repeatable every time.

I then decided to bite the bullet and do a clean install.

Every was much faster (even faster than 7229). There was joy in the world - at least until the machine BSODed when waking with media center active.

I think this problem is unrelated the upgrade. Having said that, I do not recommend the upgrade as overall performance was not good.

Changing the cversion.ini file and putting in 7229 worked just fine for me.

I wish they'd be more intelligent about the space requirements for an upgrade though.
