Can I recreate partition recovery???

I have formated recovery partition ... but i have not deleted ...i want to know can i fix it or recreate partition recovery with software or ect.... my recovery key is F9 BUT DOSENT WORK PLEASE HELP ME ABOUT THID PROBLEM...

i want to make recovery partition (i want to fix or recreate like first use) like factory setting...

If you deleted your recovery partition and you haven't created a recovery disc (s) you need to contact Dell for a set of recovery discs.

I Have DVDRECOVERY .....but deleted recovery partition...i dont have problem ...but i want to fix recovery partition like original....

You cannot fix it out of nowhere. If you deleted it, it is gone. Only with a (Dell) installation disk you can recreate it.

i got recovery cd ....now how can i fix or back recovery partition....mr recovery partition . i have recovery dvd in 2 dvd .(Total 8 GB)...i am waiting for opinion..

You cannot fix it out of nowhere. If you deleted it, nxis gone. Only with a (Dell) installation disk you can recreate it.

The recovery DVDs are for recovering the OS, not the recovery partition.

But since you have the DVDs, why do you want the partition. Many people delete the partition after they burnt the DVDs.

If you want extra protection, make images - highly recommended.

The main advantage of keeping the recovery partition is that using it to recover your system to it's out-of-box state (which you might want to do if ever you sold the computer) is a lot quicker than using your recovery discs.

As WHS says though, it becomes academic if you create a complete system image for recovery purposes.

As a literal reply to your question, you can but only if you have the tools (OPK) that MS makes available only to OEMs and system builders. Its a long and reasonably complicated procedure and it makes sense only for the said parties because they need to sell win7 configured in a particular way. get over this recovery partition fetish- its the way HP or Dell or Lenovo thinks your OS should look like, not the way YOU want. Tweak and setup things the way you want, then create an image using Macrium or Acronis or whatever and you're set. BTW, Acronis creates this "secure zone"- a special, hidden partition on the hard disk for storing the image, very much like an OEM recovery partition.
